Next Community Cinema Installment March 10

Revenge of the Electric Car sounds like the title of the latest supernatural mega flick.  Not so.  Rather . . . Electric Carchronicles director Chris Paine as he takes his film crew behind the closed doors of Nissan, GM, and the Silicon Valley start-up Tesla Motors to showcase the story of the global resurgence of electric cars. Without using a single drop of foreign oil, this new generation of car is America’s future: fast, furious, and cleaner than ever.

Join us at KCPT’s Community Cinema sneak preview of Revenge of the Electric Car at the Tivoli Cinemas Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m. As part of the PBS Emmy Award-winning series Independent Lens, the screening at the Tivoli is free of charge. (program airs on KCPT April 19, at 8:30 p.m.)

Following the film, John Kurmann, community activist with ReEnergizeKC and host of EcoRadio KC on 90.1 FM KKFI will discuss the drive to electrify our cars.
