THE MARTIN CITY MELODRAMA & VAUDEVILLE COMPANY ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF COMPLETELY HOLLYWOOD (abridged)!
Who: The Martin City Melodrama & Vaudeville Company announces the opening of its 129th show, Completely Hollywood (abridged)!, a hilarious spoof of Hollywood and
the movies written by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, with additional material by Dominic Conti. Directed by Artistic Director Jeanne Beechwood, Completely Hollywood (abridged) features veteran Martin City performers Jeanne Beechwood, Marcus Mull, and Nino Casisi, with accompaniment and sound effects by Dianne Brown.
WHAT: A seriously silly showbiz satire that gives Hollywood more than just a nip and tuck! Three of Martin City’s funniest performers spoof over 100 movies in 99 dangerously funny minutes! The laughs come a mile a minute as the energetic Martin City performers break down just how to make a hit movie and then put one back together again (or do they?) These filmmaker wannabe’s create a blockbuster film of their very own complete with lights, camera, and action. It’s all quiet on the set, except for uproarious laughs, as Completely Hollywood (abridged) cuts all of your favorite movies down to size!
WHERE: Completely Hollywood (abridged) will be presented in the Martin City Melodrama’s theatre space at 9601 Metcalf, in the Metcalf South Shopping Center in Overland Park, Kansas. The theatre is located on the lower level of the mall, with a convenient mall entrance facing Metcalf Avenue.
WHEN: Completely Hollywood (abridged) opens March 3, 2012, and runs through May 6, 2012, Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 3:30 p.m.
