The Collectors’ Room

February 12, 2017 - April 9, 2017

The Epsten Gallery is pleased to present The Collectors’ Room, an exhibition featuring a selection of contemporary art from Kansas City Collectors who are Friends and Patrons of the Epsten Gallery.  Their support makes it possible for the Epsten Gallery to sustain and enhance excellent exhibitions, programming, partnerships and outreach within the Greater Kansas City community.

Themes of identity, multiculturalism, realism, fantasy, and art historical iconography emerge in a range of portraits, figurative compositions and mixed media works, including painting, printmaking, photography and video.  Indicating a range of historical and contemporary social issues, the works also exemplify a diverse range of styles and tastes within this sampling of Kansas City private collections.

Work selected from the collections of:  Robert Epsten, Theresa & Brad Freilich, Deborah Glassberg, Sharon & John Hoffman, Michael Klein, Regina & William Kort, Rod Parks, Toma & Andy Wolff, and a private collection.
