Jane Austen Society Kansas City Hosts Afternoon at Pemberley

Afternoon at Pemberley was  held Saturday, April 27. at the Sheraton Crown Center. Writer and historian Iris Lutz  spoke on Houses in Jane Austen’s Life and Fiction. She’s the president of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Next came local costume designer Nancy Robinson who is using the actor Wes Studi as her model for gentlemen’s Regency fashions.  Dr. Sheryl Craig presented on the Whigs of Pemberley. All of the guests were introduced by the regional coordinator, Julienne Gehrer.

It was a wonderful event, funded by JASNA-KC and the Jane Austen Society of North America. About 75 were in attendance for the three lectures and high tea.
