The installation, seen here with digital reproductions, merges pieces from the Bloch Collection with works that have been in the museum’s collection for decades. Above center, Vincent van Gogh’s “Olive Orchard” (1889), acquired by the museum in 1932, hangs next to the artist’s “Restaurant Rispal at Asnières (Le restaurant Rispal à Asnières)” (1887) from the Bloch gift. At far left is a Camille Pissarro painting (top) given by the Blochs and a landscape by Armand Guillaumin (bottom), a promised gift of Robert L. and Barbara Bloch in honor of his parents, Marion and Henry Bloch.
