“Summer Sounds” Concert Series at Leawood City Hall Ampitheater, August 13, 21 and 27

Ready for one last hurrah to close out summer? The Leawood Arts Council and Leawood Parks, Recreation and Arts along with presenting sponsor Commerce Bank are proud to offer the free “Summer Sounds” Concert Series. This free concert series highlights local music groups and takes place at Leawood City Hall Amphitheater.

Don’t miss the music of Everyday Strangers on Friday, August 13 from 6:30-7:30 pm! This group of four musicians merge Jazz and Funk to break the boundaries of music genres. Everyday Strangers draws on their diverse backgrounds to influence their music. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be reschedule for Friday, August 20.

Pablo Sanhueza and the KC Latin Jazz All-Stars will take the stage on Friday, August 27 from 6:30-7:30 pm! This energetic group is dedicated to Salsa, Latin Jazz, and Latin American folkloric dance. The performers bring transnational experiences to all concerts.  In case of inclement weather, the concert will be reschedule for Friday, September 10.

Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair and a picnic to celebrate a night of local music and say goodbye to summer!

Make sure to  mark your calendars for our Family Fun Concert featuring 123 Andrés on Saturday, August 21 at 6:00 pm. Sing-a-long in both English and Spanish with the Latin Grammy winning duo, Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria. Join the Leawood Arts Council for this free concert at the Ironwoods Park Amphitheater.
