You’re Invited to Olathe Station Art Fair, June 9th and 10th

At Olathe Station, 119th and Strang Line Road, storefront pillars are being covered with rough sandstone bricks, the new sidewalks are complete, the landscaping is going in and the new Art Gallery sign is on the front of First Gallery Olathe. The Olathe Station retail space update is moving ahead and by the time the Olathe Station Art Fair is ready to begin, this retail space will be the perfect place to host an outdoor community event. Olathe Station is the New Art Destination.

June 9 and 10 at the Olathe Station Art Show, sponsored by First Gallery Olathe and the Olathe Visual Artists, as well as several Olathe businesses, including Chuys, Old Chicago and many more, will feature 50+ fine artists displaying and selling, paintings, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture. The Olathe Station center has a number of fine restaurants, SAKE, Chuys, Old Chicago, and Texas Roadhouse. There will be booths by several service organizations including the Lions Club which will be serving breakfast both days, and the Rotary Club will serve brats and hot dogs. A kids’ tent will be available with activities for the younger artists.

The band Captiva will play Saturday evening from 5-7pm in one of the common areas, and local musicians Terry Gann and Paul Martvelli with Diane Yancey will play Saturday and Sunday. A DJ will provide music both days as well. Look for a blue grass jam session Sunday at 12pm and the Olathe Jazz Band on Sunday from 3pm.  A lively and entertaining line up for the weekend.

This weekend should be one exciting to repeat every year – oh wait, it will be!  Remember Olathe Station Art Fair, Saturday, June 9, 10am-7pm, and Saturday and Sunday, June 10, 10am-5pm, at Olathe Station.
