Kansas City Power & Light District celebrates 3rd Annual Art Fair June 25, 26 and 27

NATION’S TOP ARTISTS RETURN TO DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY FOR PREMIER SUMMER ART FESTIVAL.

Kansas City, MO (June 21, 2010) – Kansas City now has yet another great art fair appealing to a variety of tastes. The vibrant and colorful art of new and emerging talent as well as established contemporary artists will line the city blocks of the Power & Light District when the Downtown Art Annual returns to Kansas City for its third anniversary, June 25th – 27th.
The Kansas City Power & Light District hosts the three-day juried art event which transforms this popular shopping, dining and entertainment district into a first-rate outdoor art gallery, attracting locals and tourists alike.  The public can meet and talk with the artists personally about their art and inspiration. The artistic media represented include paintings, sculptures, photos, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, and ceramics.
Popular 80s-cover, Kansas City-based band, The Zeros, will play live on the KC Live! Stage on Friday, June 25th at 8 p.m. Other local musicians will play throughout the show on Saturday and Sunday.
“The Power & Light District is a vibrant setting for this premier art affair,” says festival promoter Howard Alan.  “We are thrilled to bring the nation’s top artists to Kansas City who will be joined by a troupe of the most talented local artists; this is a fabulous opportunity for festival goers to discover quality original works of art by the country’s leading artists.”
The Downtown Art Annual….Downtown Kansas City’s 3rd Annual Art Fair in the Power & Light District makes the arts accessible to a broad audience.  Prices range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. The event appeals to family and friends as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. “Art is a tangible investment that you can enjoy as it appreciates in value,” comments Alan.
