Operation: Romanov Examines the Russian Revolution with a Vodka-Inspired Twist

At the centennial of the Russian Revolution, the National World War I Museum and Memorial offers the opportunity to imbibe in a vodka infused revolutionary look at prohibition in Russia during the Great War and the rise of local distilleries.

The latest in the ongoing Operation series, Operation: Romanov follows past Museum events that have focused on highlighting the connections between World War I and the modern era by examining topics such as whiskey, chocolate, rations, tattoos and fashion.

Operation: Romanov includes a panel discussion featuring Museum President and CEO Dr. Matthew Naylor, author/historian Patricia Herlihy and Tom’s Town Distillery’s David Epstein.

The event takes place on Wednesday, March 13 beginning with a food and cocktail hour at 6 p.m. The discussion follows at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Operation: Romanov are $20 ($15 for Museum members) and include hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Tickets can be purchased at www.theworldwar.org/visit/upcoming-events/operation-romanov.
