Ling-en Lu: Sharing Untold Stories
As a child, she was an artistic prodigy, but Ling-en Lu did not end up following the artist’s path. Instead, she poured what she calls her “emotional attachment to art” into art history, a decision that led to her present post: associate curator of Chinese painting at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Collector’s Corner: Jack and Georgia Olsen
In late spring, Jack and Georgia Olsen invited members of the Print Society of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art to view the extensive art collection displayed in their Briarcliff home. The Olsens, longtime owners of the American Legacy Gallery in Brookside, are well-known for their expertise in Midwest and regional art, and their collection is a treasury of works by regionalist masters.

“Faces of Change”: From Despair to Hope
A photography exhibit, titled “Faces of Change,” is coming this fall to the Kemper Museum. The images are by Nick Vedros, a KC-based photographer with a glittering list of corporate clients, including Apple, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, DuPont and Sony. The faces belong to Kansas prison inmates.
