Tenor Michael Fabiano’s American Recital Debut with Harriman-Jewell Series
Rising star and tenor Michael Fabiano has performed in operas all over the world. Critics are praising his voice and his performances in places like the Metropolitan Opera, the English National Opera, San Francisco Opera, Dresden Semperoper and Opéra National de Paris. Now, he plans to make his American recital debut as part of the Harriman-Jewell Series in Kansas City Jan. 19, 2013.

Pianist Jim Brickman Joins the Kansas City Symphony for Holiday Show

People find their sense of belonging heightened during the holidays and this is considered one benefit of personal nostalgia. Those feelings are important to pianist and songwriter Jim Brickman. He brings his show, On a Winter’s Night, to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts Dec. 7.

Celebrating in Style
The Toy and Miniature Museum's 30th anniversary begins with the unveiling of the Art Deco Jewelry Store, a stunning new miniature acquisition opening to the public for the very first time Nov. 23. The store is also the last commissioned piece from co-founder Barbara Marshall. Visitors can also participate in an interactive jazz program with pianist Carol Comer.
