A treasure trove of the work, culture and history of Kansas City’s creative community is being carefully documented—one artist at a time. Marilyn Carbonell, head of Library Services at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, first developed a passion for capturing and preserving the work that artists do when she was in college.

Davin Watne Painting Featured in Netflix Drama Master of None
Kansas City artist Davin Watne has been racking up exposure over the past 15 months. In late 2014, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art acquired Watne’s multi-panel painting, Feel Secure, featuring 20 images of armored police vehicles from countries around the world.
