Crossroads Music Fest celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and we couldn’t be happier with the community’s continued support for local live music through our festival. Since 2005, many things have changed, but the diversity of artists presented has remained constant. We’ve journeyed from being a for-profit festival to becoming a fundraiser for KKFI 90.1FM.
This year, we are excited to continue our tradition with a multi-venue, walkable festival in the West Bottoms on August 24, from noon to midnight. We welcome back Strawberry Swing vendors and makers throughout the venues all day and are overjoyed to share that three drumlines and drill teams will be performing. Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce a second day at the historic Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City, featuring the 25th anniversary of the Grand Marquis.
Saturday kicks off with a free day party from noon to 3 PM, presented by Community Lending of America. Starting at 3 PM, festival passes are required for access to six stages and over 30 bands, DJs, and drumlines in the West Bottoms. Sunday’s festivities run from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Folly Theater, showcasing the evolution of the Grand Marquis over the past 25 years.
