This year the Kansas City Artists Coalition (KCAC) will host its 40th Annual Art Auction. Collectors, art enthusiasts and friends of the Coalition know this is the best night of the year to acquire art from sought-after established and emerging artists. The quality and quantity of art (at every price point) is presented via silent, live AND on-line auctions, which makes for a thrilling night of bidding and merriment not to be missed!
Although much has changed since the mid-seventies when KCAC was founded, its mission to support the professional growth of artists and promote arts awareness in the Kansas City region is still needed. KCAC’s longevity can be attributed to adherence to its mission and a long history of integrity, openness and inclusiveness in its programming.
KCAC is pleased to announce Tom and Susie Corbin as the Honorary Chairs and Harold Smith as the Honorary Artist for the 2023 Annual Art Auction. Tom Corbin is an internationally recognized bronze sculptor. He and his wife, Susie, are longtime supporters of the Artists Coalition and the arts in Kansas City. Harold Smith is a visual artist based in Kansas City, Kansas, and an active KCAC board member. Harold’s artwork has been featured in museums, such as The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. Harold’s generosity is evident in the artists he mentors and his active support of the arts community in Kansas City.
KCAC’s 40th Annual Art Auction will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the El Torreon Event Space in Kansas City’s Midtown. Prior to the event, visit the Kansas City Artists Coalition in January and February to preview the many great artworks that will be included in the auction.
The Kansas City Artists Coalition invites you to be a part of KCAC’s future and attend the auction. Tickets may be purchased online via KCAC’s website or Eventbrite. The KCAC Annual Art Auction is truly an unforgettable art-for-all experience with ALL proceeds going to fund operations, exhibitions and programming for the Kansas City Artists Coalition!
