This summer’s National Convention of the American Guild of Organists will feature a variety of organ literature, organs, venues, and performers. Come hear new music on old organs and old music on new organs this July 2-6. From Bach to jazz, organists of all ages will showcase the finest instruments the metropolitan area has to offer.
Organ recitalists include:
- Christopher Houlihan, Country Club Christian Church
- Damin Spritzer, Grand Avenue Temple United Methodist Church
- Jennifer Pascual, Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral
- Hector Olivera, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception
- Chelsea Chen playing Kansas City’s own Emma Lou Diemer, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
Additionally, several highly acclaimed choral ensembles will perform during the convention, including:
- Kansas City Chorale, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
- Te Deum Choral Ensemble, Village Presbyterian Church
- Kantorei of Kansas City, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception
- Spire Chamber Ensemble, Visitation Catholic Church
- Cardinalis Vocal Ensemble and Kansas City Vitas, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church
