Sponsored: The HeartAches Return for a Spooktacular Night of Music and Mischief

They’re baaaaaaack… and just in time for Halloween.

The HeartAches, Heartland Men’s Chorus KC’s premier small ensemble, are ready to raise the stakes with Aha! CaBOOret, an all-new Halloween cabaret that promises tricks, treats, and harmonies sharper than a vampire’s bite. Running Thursday through Sunday, October 30–November 2, at The Black Box, this 18+ event is set to be scary good.

Hot off their smash-hit debut, the HeartAches are trading in their cowboy boots for cobwebs, serving up chilling tales, campy chaos, and music that slays. It’s intimate, irreverent, and impossible to forget — the kind of night where you laugh, gasp, and maybe even scream-sing along.

For the HeartAches, being part of this group is more than just about singing…it’s about connection and community. As member Benjamin Dubois put it, “Being a HeartAche means having the opportunity to create magic with incredibly talented musicians that every week brings me life and restores my soul.” That magic is exactly what audiences can expect when the lights go down and the costumes come out.

Halloween has always been about transformation, and Aha! CaBOOret takes that to the next level. One moment, you’ll be swept away by hauntingly beautiful ballads. The next, you’ll be howling with laughter at campy theatrics only the HeartAches could pull off.

So grab your friends, put on your spookiest fit, and get ready for a night where the music is killer, the tricks are wicked, and the treats are sweeter than pumpkin pie.
