Cars of the Craft: Kansas City’s “The Great Car Show”

Two of Kansas City’s acclaimed museums are partnering for a day of music, educational displays, food trucks, demonstrations, ride-alongs and…cars!

Hosted in conjunction with the Kansas City Automotive Museum and presented by Aristocrat Motors, The Great Car Show takes place Sunday, July 30 on the Southeast Lawn of the National World War I Museum and Memorial. This event welcomes visitors of all ages and diverse interests to indulge in a day filled of awe-inspiring automobiles and a variety of outdoor activities.

The Great Car Show showcases hundreds of cars of all shapes and sizes, giving visitors the perfect opportunity to take a step back in time or enjoy a view of present day luxury. The day begins with early bird viewing at 8 a.m. followed by youth car judging until 11 a.m. Demonstrations, tasty food truck treats, live music, educational displays, and vendor give-a-ways occur throughout the day. The day closes with professional car judging, leaving plenty of room to tour the grounds or visit the National World War I Museum and Memorial at a discounted price for event attendees.

Tickets are available online starting at $5 for adults and $2 for youth. Adult and youth combination tickets are also available, which allow guests to attend The Great Car Show as well as visit the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Proceeds benefit both the National World War I Museum and Memorial and the Kansas City Automotive Museum.
