salon of the indigenous gods is a visual art exhibition featuring painting and mixed media visual art, music, and spoken word poetry celebrating the culture of Indigenous peoples. The Exhibition highlights the lives of Indigenous power figures spanning 4000 years. In this exhibition, Indigenous is defined as People originating from the First Nations of the Americas and the Continent Commonly Called Africa.
The exhibit will take place on the evening of February 02, 2023 at Art School KC in downtown Lee’s Summit, MO. The gallery exhibit will feature poet and multimedia artist Ben Yisrael and local Kansas City area African American artists in celebration of Black History Month. Music will be provided by Casio McCombs and small bites and open bar from Flavor.
This exhibit will facilitate opportunities to push the conversation of cultural awareness through art and connection.
