Proceeds to benefit the Kansas City Symphony and its youth programs
This year will mark By The Blade’s 6th consecutive year as the landscape designer for the Symphony Designers’ Showhouse. Open to the public for tours now through May 14, area designers donate their time and materials in exchange for an opportunity to showcase their talents and support a great cause – the Kansas City Symphony and its youth programs.
This year’s Showhouse, located at 816 Gleed Terrace, Kansas City, Mo. in Historic Hyde Park, will feature more than 30 spaces transformed by Kansas City’s top designers.
This year, By The Blade placed natural stone edging, a variety of plants, to include colorful annuals and rhododendrons, throughout the front landscape to provide aesthetic layers of color throughout all seasons. Large statuary planters, dyed to accompany the home’s exterior and filled with vibrant annuals and fragrant herbs, greet Showhouse visitors at the front entrance.
This year’s timeless landscape was purposefully designed to complement the home’s stately, natural stone exterior and will continue to provide rich color and warmth beyond this year’s event.
