Shown in February at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, Kan., and in April at Kansas City FilmFest, Called To Walls is a feature-length film that could be described as one part road trip movie and one part art documentary.

Marilyn Carbonell, head of Library Services at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, first developed a passion for capturing and preserving the work that artists do when she was in college.

Davin Watne Painting Featured in Netflix Drama Master of None
Kansas City artist Davin Watne has been racking up exposure over the past 15 months. In late 2014, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art acquired Watne’s multi-panel painting, Feel Secure, featuring 20 images of armored police vehicles from countries around the world.
