The lineup includes top-quality performances from around the country and around the globe including The Second City, comedians Andy Woodhull and Gina Brillon, The Simon & Garfunkel Story and On Your Feet!

Highlights include:

The Second City’s Comedian Rhapsody (Sep. 29-30) is a brand-new revue featuring the best sketch comedy and songs from their history, new classics and, of course, their trademark improvisation performed by The Second City Touring Company’s best and brightest – and funniest!

On November 10 John Cameron Mitchell and Amber Martin present songs, stories and characters chosen by the hand of fate in Cassette RouletteTony Award-winning star of stage and screen, John Cameron Mitchell (“Joe vs. Carole,” “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”), one of alt-culture’s boldest creators, joins forces with international cabaret star Amber Martin and special guests. Backed by Justin Craig and the Hedwig house band, it’s never the same show twice!

The Comedy Zone presents Andy Woodhull on October 21.  Woodhull has appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” “Conan,” “Live at Gotham” and “The Half Hour” on Comedy Central. In 2014, he was the first comedian to make his network television debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

On December 3 get On Your Feet!  It’s the inspiring true story about heart, heritage and two people who believed in their talent—and each other—to become an international sensation: Emilio and Gloria Estefan. Now their story is an all-new exhilarating original musical winning the hearts of critics and audiences alike, with the Chicago Tribune declaring “IT’S A HIT!” and The New York Times cheering, “The very air in the room seems to vibrate in this undeniably crowd-pleasing musical!”

Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra will headline MTC’s Winterlude Jazz Festival on Saturday, Feb. 24.  Featuring up to 18 accomplished musicians, the Uptown Jazz Orchestra sets the global standard for celebrating jazz in its authentic musical form, inspiring the next generation of jazz musicians and promoting a  culture of diversity, inclusion and accessibility in the arts.

On Sunday, Mar. 3 The StepCrew will perform their dynamic dance production combining three styles of percussive dance — Irish, Tap, and Ottawa Valley.  The amazing company is led by Cara Butler and Pilatzke brothers, Jon and Nathan. Butler is best known as The Chieftains’ top Irish dancer for the last three decades, while the Pilatzkes are undoubtedly Canada’s leading and most exciting Ottawa Valley Step dancers.

The Comedy Zone returns Mar. 9 with Gina Brillon.  She has appeared on “The View,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as well as “Kevin Can Wait” and “The Conners.” In 2012, she became the first (and only) Latina winner of NBC’s Stand up for Diversity Showcase.  Most recently, Gina was the first Latina comedian to be a Finalist in season 16 of “America’s Got Talent.”

The Simon & Garfunkel Story is a critically acclaimed concert style theatre show about two young boys from Queens who went on to become the world’s most successful music duo of all time.  Reminiscence as you enjoy all the hits – “Mrs. Robinson,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Homeward Bound,” “Scarborough Fair,” “The Boxer,” “The Sound of Silence” and many more.

On May 2 enjoy chamber music performed by Les Violons du Roy.  The chamber orchestra takes its name from the renowned string orchestra of the court of the French kings.  Using copies of period bows on modern instruments, the ensemble plays works from the Baroque and Classical period with an approach strongly influenced by current research into performance practice in the 17th and 18th centuries. They also regularly delves into the repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries.
