It’s official! War Remains is coming back!

Due to overwhelming feedback, the National WWI Museum and Memorial is reopening the interactive War Remains virtual reality experience one final time.

This is not a game. This is History. Live through the war to end all wars unlike ever before. Presented by legendary “Hardcore History” podcaster Dan Carlin, War Remains is an immersive VR experience that transports viewers to the Western Front of the First World War. Witness history unfold from a soldier’s point of view in this thought-provoking, visceral encounter. Reserve your time slot July 5 – Sept. 1, 2024 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday only). Tickets are $24 ($18 for Members).

Carlin’s iconic voice leads audiences into the trenches as an active battle scene rages on. Through stunning visual effects, powerfully designed sound and a custom set that allows you to feel the trench and experience the vibration of the floor as explosions surround you, audiences will undergo the annihilation of innocence caused by the First World War and bear witness to the emergence of modern warfare. Experience War Remains in the Museum and Memorial’s Memory Hall.

War Remains is a solitary experience, allowing one user through at a time. VR headsets and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between users. Due to the graphic nature of the content, viewers must be at least 14 years of age.

Are all time slots reserved? We have a headset-only experience available 7 days a week in the Main Gallery for $5 ($3 Members). Purchase tickets in-gallery, general admission ticket required for access.

Do we know if War Remains will go some place else after this or be wrapped up for good? I missed my chance when I was in KC the other week and I’m trying to keep my eyes open for the next time this pops up somewhere.
