The hottest new membership in town is the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts’ Spotlight program. Spotlight members are an exceptional collection of people who share a passion for making Kansas City a strong, vibrant and fun cultural community.
Hosting more than 300 performances each year, the Kauffman Center relies on memberships and charitable contributions for support. Over the past five years, members and donors have taken ownership of this architectural treasure, and the membership group just continues to grow.
This exciting annual membership opportunity starts at $65, offering members performance pre-sale announcements and access to backstage tours — an area of the Center that most people do not see.
Spotlight Premier members Brenda and Frank Austenfeld of Village of Loch Lloyd, Mo., travel a great deal for business and pleasure, are Royals’ season ticket holders, passionate golfers, and Spotlight Premier members at the Kauffman Center. “We became involved because we wanted to be part of history — this next chapter of Kansas City’s history,” said Brenda. “We enjoy a wide range of talent and musical types,” Brenda said, “and we really appreciate that we can see all of these things — and more — in such an incredible venue, right here at home.”
Members who join at premier levels enjoy ultimate insider access, including a personal concierge to assist with tickets and parking, as well as invitations to pre-performance dinners and exclusive meet-and-greets with guest artists.
“It is through the tremendous support of our donors and members that the Kauffman Center is able to offer extraordinary and diverse performing arts experiences for all. Sharing membership benefits such as invitations to meet and greets with artists and presale access to performances help further connect our membership groups with the exciting programming the Kauffman Center offers year round. Through membership support, we are able to continue to play a vital role in helping to connect audiences to the performing arts in Kansas City,” said Paul Schofer, President and CEO of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
Businesses can also take advantage of these benefits by joining the business membership group, Ensemble. More than 80 companies have joined this vibrant group, receiving year-round business development and marketing opportunities, as well as complementary tickets for entertaining clients or as an employee benefit. Ensemble members also enjoy discounted event rentals for receptions, dinners and meetings, and attending networking events.
The Kauffman Center’s vision is to enrich the lives of everyone in our community through extraordinary and diverse performing arts experiences. Members of Spotlight and Ensemble enjoy a host of benefits, while also helping to make Kansas City the best city possible.
