Kauffman Center Offers Eclectic Lineup of Events This Fall

The Kauffman Center Presents series offers a variety of carefully selected events that provide unique performance experiences for everyone in the community. Coming this fall, the series will highlight an array of performances featuring a jukebox musical, a world-renowned children’s choir, many legendary musicians and an interactive game show experience.

Diana Krall
Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 at 7 p.m.
Muriel Kauffman Theatre

Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. Her albums have garnered two Grammy Awards, nine gold, three platinum and seven multi-platinum albums. Her works have been included in several film soundtracks and include hits like “When I Look in Your Eyes.” As The New York Times recently noted, Krall possesses “a voice at once cool and sultry, wielded with a rhythmic sophistication.” Tickets range from $59 to $179 plus applicable fees.

Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives

Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and musician, Marty Stuart, is joined by his lifelong backing band, the Fabulous Superlatives, as he follows in the footsteps of country music legends George Jones, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. His works are living, breathing country-music history, and Stuart continues to record and release keenly relevant music, such as his 18th studio album, Way Out West, which is a musical journey through the California desert. Tickets range from $39 to $59 plus applicable fees.

Vienna Boys Choir
Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 at 7 p.m.
Helzberg Hall

One of the finest vocal ensembles in the world, the Vienna Boys Choir has been delighting music lovers across the globe for over five centuries. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram raves “There’s no more gratifying sound than that of children singing. And there’s no more polished ensemble of children’s voices than the Vienna Boys Choir.” Their diverse repertoire includes everything from medieval to contemporary to experimental music. These gifted musicians, ages 10 to 14, are part of four touring choirs that hail from dozens of nations and together give over 300 concerts a year around the world. Tickets range from $19 to $59 plus applicable fees.

An Evening with George Winston

Acclaimed pianist George Winston’s concert features a variety of styles inspired by the seasons and topographies. He has become one of the world’s most recognized contemporary solo pianists, known for his Rural Folk Piano style. Winston performs songs from his seasonal favorites Autumn, December, Winter Into Spring, and Summer, as well as Peanuts pieces from his Vince Guaraldi tribute albums Linus & Lucy – The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Love Will Come and The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Vol. 2. Tickets range from $30.50 to $63 plus applicable fees.

Wheel of Fortune LIVE!
Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.
Muriel Kauffman Theatre

“Wheel of Fortune LIVE!” an all-new theatrical experience, is traveling across North America and coming to Kansas City, where you can be part of the excitement! Guests can audition to go on stage, where they will get the chance to spin a replica of the iconic Wheel and solve puzzles to win prizes including $10,000, a trip to Paris or Hawaii, and more! Audience members will also be randomly selected to win cash and prizes. Join us and take a spin to solve the puzzles in person. Unfortunately, Pat and Vanna will not be joining the tour, but great prizes and the game you love will be. Tickets range from $39 to $69 plus applicable fees.
