Kauffman Center Presents Artists Take the Stage

Sutton Foster will grace the Muriel Kauffman Theatre stage this September.

The Kauffman Center has curated a collection of diverse, extraordinary performances that spans genres, generations and styles. Each year, Kauffman Center Presents programming invites audiences to take in awe-inspiring arts and culture experiences.

Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.

Sutton Foster is a two-time Tony Award-winning actress, singer and dancer, most recently seen in an acclaimed turn as Princess Winnifred in the Broadway revival of Once Upon a Mattress at the Hudson Theatre. Foster also starred as Mrs. Lovett in the Tony-winning revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street opposite Aaron Tveit. Foster starred in TV Land’s Younger for seven seasons and has appeared in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Bunheads. Her Broadway credits include Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Violet and more. She has released three solo albums and a memoir, Hooked: How Crafting Saved My Life, and she holds an honorary doctorate from Ball State University, where she also teaches.

Banjo. Drums. Harp. An uncommon blend of instrumentation composes a unique sound from this trio. Playing original repertoire, much of it collaboratively written, this trio embarks on fearless explorations that audiences will find irresistible — rich with strong melodies, gorgeous harmony and grooves that twist and turn while feeling fantastic.

Two of the most respected artists in contemporary jazz join forces in this duo. This longtime friendship and musical camaraderie have led to various collaborations through the years including the albums MoodSwing (1994), RoundAgain (2020) and LongGone (2023) with Joshua Redman and Brian Blade; trio tour dates with drummer Marcus Gilmore; and a recent duo performance at the Big Ears Festival that had the crowd utterly captivated.

Whose Live Anyway?
Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.

The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? are proud to present their new improv tour: WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray will leave you gasping with witty scenes they invent before the audience’s eyes. WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? showcases some of the improv games made famous on the long-running TV show, as well as some exciting new ones, featuring musical direction by Bob Derkach.

PlayStation | The Concert

Step into the world of PlayStation™ with a groundbreaking live concert experience celebrating 30 years of iconic storytelling and innovation. This show features the unforgettable music of God of War, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon, Journey, Uncharted, Helldivers, Astro Bot and Bloodborne, blending breathtaking musical performances with state-of-the-art visuals and immersive production. A troupe of 15 virtuoso soloists will bring these scores to life in a way that’s never been seen — or heard — before.

This November, audiences will get to engage with legend Jerry Harrison.

Stop Making Sense | Live Event Hosted by Jerry Harrison

Newly restored in 4K to coincide with its 40th anniversary, this 1984 film, directed by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme, is considered by critics to be the greatest concert film of all time. Starring band members David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Jerry Harrison and Tina Weymouth (along with their incredible touring musicians), the live performance was shot at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater and features Talking Heads’ most memorable songs. The live event will feature a public screening of the re-release hosted by co-star Jerry Harrison, who will deliver introductory remarks, post-screening comments and audience Q&A.
