The Kansas City Artists Coalition (KCAC) is a charitable nonprofit organization that promotes visual arts awareness in Kansas City and the surrounding region and supports the professional growth of artists. The Artists Coalition was created to increase awareness of local and regional contemporary art and support artists. To enhance the viability of Kansas City as an art destination and a place for artists to live/work. For 45 years KCAC has been vigilant in pursuing this mission.

KCAC supports artists and arts understanding through our Exhibitions Series, artist talks, publications, 20 Artist Studios, and Work of Art professional development workshops.

KCAC presents an outstanding and varied program of visual arts, through the Exhibitions Series, which showcases artists at all stages in their careers. The Artists Coalitions programs include panel discussions, lectures, gallery talks, the KCAC website and our robust social media accounts.

Since 1975, KCAC has presented over 662 exhibitions showing over 6396 artists with an estimated attendance of over a half a million guests. We provide an accessible venue for viewers and work diligently to provide exhibition opportunities for local and regional artists.

The Kansas City Artists Coalitions’ exhibitions and programming explore the diversity of expression that shapes contemporary culture, art and ideas. KCAC is a space for innovative and experimental art, which does not readily lend itself to commercial venues. We aggressively support and embrace local and regional artists’ work. The KCAC staff and board work tirelessly to meet artists at every level in their career through our exhibition spaces and educational programming.
