Cinema in the City, June 11 and July 30

The Leawood Arts Council has a diverse line up of summer arts and entertainment events. There is something for everyone this summer in Leawood!

Grab the family, a blanket, your favorite snacks and head down to Leawood City Hall! Cinema in the City will showcase throwback movies the entire family will love. Each movie will start at dusk at the outdoor amphitheater behind Leawood City Hall.

On Friday, June 11th, catch Little Rascals. Meet Spanky, Buckwheat, Alfalfa and many others! Through mischief and mayhem, the rascals learn to appreciate true friends.

On Friday, July 30th, come watch the award-winning movie, Babe. As a little shy pig, Babe struggles with not knowing his place in the world. However, with the help from barnyard friends, Babe discovers that he can be anything.

These free movie nights are the perfect opportunity to get your 90’s nostalgia fix and spend time outdoors!

Don’t forget to join us for the Grinnin’ & Groovin’ Concert Series. Beginning on June 8th, every Tuesday throughout the month will feature local children’s performers at the Ironwoods Amphitheatre. These free concert events begin at 9:30 am and last approximately forty-five minutes. Every concert will have your kids grinnin’ and groovin’ in no time!
