Nature’s inspiration to Penny Preville has been evident ever since she had her start in 1975. Pairing these themes with old-world craftsmanship of milgrain, detailed engravings, and an appreciation for vintage charm, she creates intricate pieces that are eclectic and fresh for the modern woman.
For most of her 50-year-long career, Penny Preville has been a beloved jewelry designer at TIVOL jewelers in Kansas City. She draws inspiration from fashion and culture. Fusing her design aesthetic with high-quality and conflict-free materials, she has tailored each piece in her line to celebrate and elevate the female form.
“Penny’s vision has celebrated women through five decades of changing styles,” says Cathy Tivol. “Over the many years we’ve carried Penny Preville, she has become one of my dearest friends. But what is amazing to me is seeing the true friendships she has formed with her customers. I don’t know anyone else in our industry who can say that. Her ability to understand what women want to wear and create jewelry that becomes part of their life stories has built a legacy of not just beautiful pieces, but beautiful moments.”
This year, Penny Preville celebrates a half-century of iconic design by launching a limited-edition bangle series. There is one bangle for every year, each personally signed, featuring a diamond constellation motif set in 18K yellow gold or white gold. The anniversary collection also includes jewelry suites inspired by her heritage, with accessible, ready-to-wear designs.
“The fun and challenge of designing is to keep pushing one step ahead of what women want,” notes designer Penny Preville. “Jewelry is very personal and individual to the wearer; my goal is to keep designing pieces that will make a woman look and feel fabulous about herself.”

50th Anniversary Limited Edition Bangle: Inspired by the cosmos’ inherent beauty, these bangles have been distinguished with the 2025 Jose Hess Design Award, celebrating enduring brilliance, emotional resonance, and excellence. The interior features Penny’s signature sapphire, her autograph, and the numerical engraving.
Deco Suite: Drawing inspiration from Penny’s iconic Art Deco designs, this high-jewelry capsule embodies the angular shapes and symmetry reminiscent of the Art Deco era.
Goddess Suite: Draped in delicate white gold and diamonds and flowing with effortless grace, these designs are inspired by bohemian romance. Each piece is elegant, fluid, and made for the modern muse.
Ready-to-Wear: The Celestial Dreams and Moondance collections are inspired by core design themes from Penny’s past. Celestial Dreams feature star motifs and constellations adorned in diamonds and twilight-blue sapphires. Moondance collection features bezel-set diamonds, sapphires, and moonstones. Each piece shimmers softly, like waltzing moonlight across the night sky.
