Sponsored: UMKC Cockefair Chair Presents Meg Lowman, October 9 at UMKC Student Union

Meg Lowman is one of the world’s leading forest canopy researchers and a prolific advocate for protecting and preserving the world’s rain forests.

Megan Lowman

Treetops are the least explored parts of the forest. Meg Lowman has made it her life’s mission to understand the forest ecosystem from the top down. Renowned internationally as a pioneer in the field of forest canopy ecology, Lowman is an “arbornaut” who scales the treetops for research and conservation (and for the sheer love of treetops and all that lives in them).

Read about Mission Green, Lowman’s global tree conservation initiative, on her website: canopymeg.com.
