The Art Factory is a new and unique art and entertainment venue where celebrating creativity and artistic expression is a passion. Camellot Academy is a five-week long performing arts camp for children age 5 through ninth grade located at Rockhurst High School. Our campers experience daily classes in drama, dance, art, guitar and voice, culminating in the performance of a full-length musical production during the final week. This summer’s musical is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Camp runs June 8 – July 11; Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Half Day/Full Day options). Christian Youth Theater Kansas City offers a variety of fantastic summer theater camps all across the Kansas City metro area, sure to delight the inspiring young actor! Half and full day camps include Disney Clubhouse (ages 4-5), Kids on Broadway and Disney Hits (ages 5-12). Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival offers summer camp experiences for kids ages 5 – 18, in locations throughout the metro area. Every camp gives young people the chance to explore Shakespeare’s plays and the Renaissance period. Students work with professional theatre artists to create costume pieces, swords and props to use in performance of their camp version of a Shakespearean play. Since 1997, Camp Shakespeare has been one of the premier performing arts camps in the region. Campers have a fully interactive experience as they learn stage combat and acting techniques as they gain proficiency with classical text and confidence in public performance.
