Kansas City Youth Jazz organizers in collaboration with Take 5 Coffee Bar have announced a Jazz Vocal Summit to be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Jan. 20 inside Take Five Coffee Bar in Leawood, Kan.
The concert will last three hours. Participating in the event will be ANGELA HAGENBACH, WILD WOMEN OF JAZZ, EDDIE GOSS, MILLE NOTTINGHAM, LAURA CHALK, BRYAN HICKS, SHAY ESTES, AND JOE ATHON. THIS WILL BE A SHOWCASE OF SOME OF KANSAS CITY’S FINEST JAZZ VOCALISTS PERFORMING SOLOS, DUETS AND OTHER ENSEMBLE NUMBERS.
Proceeds will benefit Kansas City Youth Jazz.
“We are very grateful to the owners and management of Take 5 Coffee Bar for their cooperation and are pleased to present this show on behalf of Kansas City Youth Jazz,” said Dr. Michael Pagan, vice president of the Kansas City Youth Jazz Board of Directors and noted jazz educator at Ottawa University.
