The Kansas City Wind Symphony Ends Their 19th Season, May 7

The Kansas City Wind Symphony ends their 19th season, “As You Like It,” on May 7, 2017, at 7:00 PM at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road in Prairie Village, Kansas.

The free concert, entitled “Conductor’s Favorites,” marks the final concert of conductor Phil Posey. After 17 years and over 100 concerts with the ensemble, Dr. Posey will retire. During the concert he will “pass the baton” to Dr. Langston Hemenway who will begin his leadership of the Kansas City Wind Symphony for their 20th Anniversary Season beginning in September.

Featured soloist is Kansas City jazz great Bobby Watson who will perform a special arrangement of Amazing Grace.
