From the streets to the subway
Though primarily known for his murals, Haring painted on nearly every surface he could find. From subway walls and boomboxes to cars and televisions, no surface was off-limits. He wanted his art to be everywhere because he believed art is for everybody.
A new dimension of Haring
On view until January 25, 2027, this world premiere exhibition dives into a lesser-known side of Haring’s practice: his experimental and energizing three-dimensional works. Sculptures, totems, and masks share the space with skateboards, clothing, and even a motorcycle — each piece bringing his visual language into surprising new forms.

As you move through the gallery, you’ll be immersed in Haring’s world. Explore painted found objects from Haring’s youth, groove to the beat of some of his favorite mixtapes, and discover the collaborations and activism that fueled his practice.
