The Lyric Opera’s 2026–2027 season is a season of love, elegance, wit and grandeur. The season begins with two beloved classics: Puccini’s tender and passionate La bohème, followed by one of the most perfectly crafted operas of all time, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.
In winter and spring 2027, the season continues with Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, a work that delights and sparkles. The season culminates in a grand spectacle with a brand-new production of Verdi’s monumental Aida. This landmark Aida, with new sets built in Kansas City, continues Lyric Opera of Kansas City’s storied legacy and enduring impact.
